The new Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible C8 3LT Z51 with an upgraded 6.2 V8 DI VVT LT2 engine with a power of 485 HP and a maximum torque of 613 Nm. It is an EU model with European navigation, a 3-year European warranty and the option of choosing the Czech language. The car accelerates from 0-100 in an incredible 3.1 seconds, so it reaches times similar to super sports. The comparison with this class of super sports is also helped by the new body design. The Corvette C8 is designed as a mid-engine, the engine is located behind the driver compared to previous generations, which dramatically changes the weight distribution and thus makes the transmission of the power of the genuine American eight-cylinder engine on the road more efficient. The engine has direct injection (DI), variable valve timing (VVT) as well as the Active Fuel Management system for more economical driving when full engine power is not required. The Corvette has a dual-clutch 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. Rear wheel drive.
Interior in Nappa leather. Sporty shaped perforated GT2 seats are electrically adjustable in 8 directions, heated and ventilated. There is also memory for seat settings. The innovative chassis and coil-over shock absorbers ensure maximum controllability in all conditions. It goes without saying that a number of driving modes can be set: Tour, Weather, Sport and Track. Two user-configurable modes are also available. The setting affects: gas pedal response, automatic transmission shift mode (map), power steering stiffness, stabilization system including slip control, and engine sound.
Thanks to the additional Z51 package, the car has larger brakes, 13.3″ on the front axle and 13.8″ on the rear. There is also eLSD, a stabilization system for slip reduction. Magnetic Ride Control whose sensors scan the road surface 1000 times per second for immediate adjustment of the viscosity (stiffness) of the magnetic shock absorbers. The front axle can be raised by 40 mm for problem-free parking or driving over speed bumps. The system is equipped with a memory for saving specific sections using GPS, the lift is then activated automatically based on the memorized position.
6.2L EcoTec V8:
The fifth generation of the famous "small block LS" eight-cylinder from General Motors is used across the entire concern due to its power and reliability. The basic timeless concept was designed by the American constructor and drag race racer Ed Koerner in 1998, since then it is still used with many upgrades. Thanks to their versatility, LS engines are popular in sports cars like the Chevrolet Corvette, in pickups like the GMC Sierra 1500, and last but not least, they power the ultra-luxury SUVs Cadillac Escalade or GMC Yukon.
